VENUE: (please note this has changed from the original Taupo Gliding Club)
TIME: Gates Open 4.00pm / Event will conclude 9.00pm
PARKING: Plenty of free parking on site
SHUTTLE: There will be a event shuttle bus departing from the i-site in downtown Taupo at 3.45pm to the venue and continuing approx. every 30min from / to the venue with the last departure from i-site at 6pm and the last departure from the venue at 9.30pm. We do ask for a gold coin donation for this service. As wine, beer etc will be available on site we encourage you to leave your vehicle at home and use this service.
FOOD / WINE: There is a no BYO policy as part of our License. There will be a selection of wine and beer, soft drinks & coffee to purchase on site at great prices. There will also be a small selection of food stalls as well.
TICKETS: These are available from the Gate from 4pm @ $20.00 per adult / $10 per child or student and no charge for 4 & under.
EFTPOS / CASH: It is advisable to bring cash for any purchases although we will have eftpos machines available for ticket sales and our beverage supplier, The Merchant of Taupo will also have eftpos. Please note there will be no cash out facility.
SHELTER / SHADE: Our new venue and marquees offer visitors plenty of shelter from any rain and is planned to keep everyone dry and undercover (or out of the sun as it may turn out)!
WHAT TO BRING: Wear comfy flat shoes and advisable to bring a jacket although we anticipate it to be warm under shelter and in the hanger. For the optimists, bring sunscreen & sunglasses and of course a camera is advisable!
ACCOMMODATION: For accommodation in Taupo, we recommend the Beech Tree Motels. Please contact Jacqui for rates & reservations. Phone 07 377 0181. We can arrange the Event Shuttle bus to transfer you to / from the venue from here if required.
